  • 2 pounds chicken wings Pat dry for crispiness
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For tossing the wings
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt Adjust to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper Adjust to taste

For the lemon pepper sauce

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter Melted
  • 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest Fresh lemon peel
  • 1 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning Adjust to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place a wire rack over the baking sheet.
  • Pat the wings dry with paper towels.
  • In a bowl, toss the wings with olive oil.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the wings.
  • Coat the wings evenly with the seasoning mix.
  • Place the wings on the rack in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Bake the wings for 40 minutes until they are crispy, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter.
  • Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and lemon pepper.
  • Whisk until the mixture is smooth and fragrant.

Serving

  • Remove the wings from the oven when they are golden brown.
  • Toss the hot wings in the lemon pepper butter sauce.
  • Serve immediately while still warm.

Notes

Patting the wings dry ensures they get crispy. Flip halfway through baking for even cooking. Adjust lemon pepper seasoning to fit your taste.
