  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices bread Any type of bread can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Divided for sautéing and grilling.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • optional garlic powder, herbs Can be added for extra flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder or herbs.
  • Remove the mushrooms from the skillet and set aside.

Assembly and Grilling

  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and place two slices of bread in the skillet.
  • Layer each slice with sautéed mushrooms and two slices of Swiss cheese.
  • Top with the remaining bread slices.
  • Grill each side until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Serving

  • Serve hot with a side of crispy fries, fresh salad, or warm soup.

Notes

For best results, ensure the skillet is hot enough to caramelize the mushrooms. You can experiment with different types of bread for varied flavor.
