  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast Helps the dough rise.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Adds moisture and flavor.
  • 1 cup warm water Mix with the dry ingredients to form dough.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, bread flour, instant yeast, and salt.
  • Add the inactive sourdough starter and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Add olive oil to a clean bowl, place the dough in the bowl, and cover with a cloth.
  • Let it rise at room temperature for about 1-2 hours or refrigerate overnight.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Add your favorite toppings.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

Notes

Serve the pizza hot and enjoy it with side dishes like a simple salad or garlic bread. For leftovers, uncooked dough can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days; baked pizza will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
