Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk Can substitute with plant-based milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Adds flavor
  • 1 large egg Can substitute with a flax egg for vegan

Optional Topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt together.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and egg until combined.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed; do not overmix.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Cooking

  • Using a spoon, scoop out small portions of the batter and shape them into balls.
  • Place the donut holes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
  • Cook for about 7-10 minutes until they puff up and are cooked through.
  • Let them cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
